Award-Winning Pet Photography

Phone cameras have made it easier than ever for all of us to capture special moments with pets, but that still can't replace high resolution images thoughtfully crafted and edited by a professional photographer. Even the newest and best phone camera won't be able to give you a crisp, high resolution photo of your dog sprinting towards you with their tail up, ears flapping, & legs flying, nor will you be able to enlarge, print, and display a portrait of your pet lovingly gazing up at you with their eyes soft & full of trust.

That's where I come in, with my professional equipment, experience, and knowledge. I have photographed thousands of animals through my volunteer work at the Santa Cruz SPCA and my wildlife photography. My pet photography has won several awards, including 1st Place in "Domestic Animals - Professional" at the 2025 Santa Cruz County Fair; Bronze in the 2025 Px3 Paris Photo Awards; and Honorable Mention in the 2025 Px3 Paris Photo Awards. Px3 is a prestigious, juried, international photography competition.

I Would Love to Photograph

Your Pet!

A 1hr single pet photography session is $300, payable via Venmo or PayPal. This includes 10-15 high resolution, professionally edited proofs, which can be purchased as prints or digital downloads for an additional fee. 1-2 additional pets from the same household can be included in the session for an extra $50/pet. I ask for a $75 nonrefundable deposit to book a session, which will be credited toward the total session fee upon completion.

You and I will choose an outdoor session location within Santa Cruz County together, though that decision will largely be up to you. If you would like to meet outside of Santa Cruz County, there may be an additional fee for extra mileage. Please contact me, and I will try to make it happen.

No matter what species your beloved pet companion is, I would love to photograph them!

My goal will be to photograph your animal at their happiest and most relaxed. I want to capture their soft eyes as they look at the person they trust most in the world, their joyful smile, and their playful, silly selves.I will spend the first few minutes letting your pet get used to me and my equipment. I always aim for headshots, head + chest, full body, and action or play shots, but beyond that, I let the animal lead. If you have any specific requests or your pet requires any particular accommodations, please contact me. I love being creative and have all-weather equipment, so the sky is the limit!

Though my primary focus will be on your animal, if you (or another human in your household) would like to be in some of the shots, I will do my best to capture the relationship that you have built with your pet.

After the session, I will email you a password-protected link to a gallery where you can view proofs of 10-15 professionally retouched photos. High or low resolution digital downloads, silver halide photographic prints, metal prints, and canvas prints of various sizes can be purchased for additional fees.
